    Biology 1 provides students with a study of the structures and functions of living organisms and their interactions with their environment. The course includes lab and field investigations as well as problem solving activities and real world applications. This is a CORE 40 and AHD course.

    Students in Science 8B will study chemistry and physics topics such as: atoms & bonding, chemical reactions, acids, bases, & solutions, motion forces, work & machines.

    In Science 7B students will study various concepts within the fields of: Oceanography, Astronomy, and Chemistry.

  • Honors Science is a lab-oriented, rigorously academic course for students that excel in critical thinking and problem-solving. This course takes the place of Science 8.

  • 8th Grade Science covers Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 15 & 16 from the "Blue" Prentice Hall Science Explorer Series.
  • Science 7A is a standards-based, lab-oriented general science course that covers topics such as: the nature of science, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, rocks, minerals, erosion, cells, and biochemistry.
  • Biology 2 studies genetics in the first trimester and anatomy and physiology in the second trimester.
  • Environmental Science, Advanced Placement focuses on the environmental and ecological area of biology and integrates this study with chemistry, earth science, and other disciplines. Students will study river ecology, population structure, and environmental philosophy. The curriculum of this course is aligned with College Board guidelines for the Advanced Placement Environmental Science Course.
  • This moodle is designed especially for the students who participate in After School Computer Lab on Thursday afternoons. But it might be fun for any early elementary student!

  • This is a place for 5th and 6th graders to learn about keyboarding and computer applications.
  • This is a site for faculty and staff to access information on using technology available at Manchester Community Schools.
  • A six week course covering classroom technology that makes teaching and learning more fun, better ogranized, and fully collaborative and interactive.
  • This course is designed to prepare seniors for college writing, including research writing.
